Of Ice Cream, The Hobbit, and Bossy Fangirls

Hello random people who found this blog while searching for something else! So, right now I'm
chillin' with my friend, who lives in an undisclosed location on the East Coast. Man, was that a long plane ride, I'm tellin' ya.
Anyway, my friend (hereafter referred to as 'Ice Cream'. Don't ask me XD) is a mega LOTR fan (... I think. Help me out here, dude), I assume that because she knows way more about LOTR than I do. So Ice Cream is joining me today to discuss what should (and shouldn't happen!) in the third and hopefully final Hobbit movie. Let us begin!
All those with asterisks on them are Ice Cream's idea.

- Gandalf needs to NOT be rescued by the Eagles from the Necromancer.*
- Bard is the one who kills Smaug. Not Bilbo, not Bard's Emo-Muffin son, not Tauriel, not Legolas' digitally enhanced face, Gandalf, or Gollum. Or Thorin. It must be Bard. I bring this up because Desolation of Smaug seemed to be leading up to the son killing Smaug, which is not cool.
- Either Tauriel or Kili needs to die. To put a better end to their 'romance'. *
- Beorn needs to be in the battle of the five armies. Because that's how it is in the book. And Beorn needs more screen time.*
- Oh, and while we're on the Battle of the Five Armies? Please keep it the Battle of just Five Armies. I know how your brain works, Mr. Jackson, and I know that it must be a giant temptation to add the Rohan, or Rangers, but please. Just Five.
- Um, Ice Cream says that Peter Jackson must make a public apology to everyone who truly loves Lord of the Rings for all the screw-ups he made. XD *
- Please don't try to wedge Gollum into the third movie.
- Thorin needs to die like he does in the book. So do Fili and Kili.*
- No more cutting out or compressing the good parts from the book to make room for Fan-Fiction that made it into the writer's room!
- I know that this post is starting to get demanding and bratty sounding, but c'mon. Let's use some of the gigantic budget for some actual SETS. And no, greenscreens do not count as sets. I guess what I mean is Less CGI, More Props.
- One last thing. I remember a quote from some guy about how you shouldn't crack jokes you wouldn't want your mom to hear. Well, don't add anything that you wouldn't want Tolkien to see.

...So, yeah! Please note that this is all in good fun, and we aren't out to offend anybody (especially Peter Jackson. Because we know that if we make him mad he'll make the third Hobbit movie be lousy on purpose ;)

The Little Mermaid [1989]

Hi! This is Libby [My sister. She's trying her hand at reviewing.] doing a guest post of The Little Mermaid! The first thing I have to say about it is that the animation is beautiful! at first I thought that all those mermaids at the beginning were Ariel's lackeys but they turned out to be her sisters. Ariel is a good character don't get me wrong, but she is very abusive towards flounder! "You can stay here and watch for sharks you guppy!" Tell me that isn't abusive! On to our prince Erik! I might as well tell you now, prince Erik is not as cool as prince Philip or Flynn rider, but on the positive side, he would risk his life for his dog or for instance he said this about Scuttle the bird when he tried to sing a song "someone should put that bird out of its misery!" Of course he was just being playful there. some might think king triton was a jerk for thinking of all humans as ruthless jerks, but what if that was just all that he had seen of them, what if he saw a bunch of pirates once, before you ask I did not write any fan fic, I'm just making sure nobody dumps on him. And now back to Ariel, her solo (the one in her grotto) was pretty impressive! Now you will see angry me, unlike the Gaston or Mother knows best ,Poor unfortunate souls is probably the worst song in The Little Mermaid, either that or the chef  song. I will try to make this part quick, but they make a HUGE point of Ariel being sixteen! so why does Triton let her marry the dude that he has never met at the age of sixteen! overall I like triton and it is a good movie.

The verdict,
B+ the reason it did not get an A is because of Poor unfortunate souls, the chef song and that prince Erik dumped Ariel right after kiss the girl just because she doesn't have that voice. Though it is a good movie, just not my favorite.

Playmobil Les Miserables

Hi, this is the little sister! Here are my playmobils doing Les Miserables. I got the stage for Christmas and it originally had a rock band on it, that explains the flashing lights!

This is the Confrontation. Javert is the Pirate, and Valjean is the Plummer. There's dead Fantine back there, too. [Nice earrings, Javert. :)]

This is Look Down(the one in Paris). Gavroche is the one in front.

This is A Heart Full of Love. :D

This is 'Building the Barricade'. Enjolras is the guy standing on top [You mean the one with the Bieber Hair?], and keep an eye out for Gavroche!

This is in The First Attack, when Valjean pretends to kill Javert.

This is The Final Battle.

This is Enjolras. He's not dead, he's just drunk. ["hiccup... Freedom... hiccup..."]

Now this is the WHOLE stage during the Final Battle.

This is the beginning of Javert's Suicide. And... Marius still has his happy playmobil smile. XD

And this is Empty Chairs at Empty Tables. Okay, from left to right. The guys behind him are Combeferre, L'aigle, Enjolras, and Courfeyrac. Because he has a hat. :D [Sniffle... I'm so proud to have a sister who knows the names of the Friends of the ABC, but can't name all the members of One Direction. XD But wait, the Friends of the ABC are kinda like a boyband I suppose... Oh my... now I'm so conflicted.]
Ahem, who's post was this again, Xochitl?
[sorry.]

That's all I got for now, but thank you for looking at it! I really enjoy playing with the stage. :)

Guest Post by My Sister

Hi! Welcome to my monthly guest post! [This angry red font, by the way, is Xochitl. My sister wanted to do a guest post on here, so I figured I'd let her. XD So long as she doesn't do anything reputation-wrecking... She's just a kid, so be forgiving if her observations are less than professional.] I'm doing a Dream Cast for Les Miserables, because there aren't any recordings that are 'perfect'. It'll probably make at least one of you mad, but I sure hope it doesn't! :)
[Tactful, Sis... Very, very, tactful...]
Let's begin!
Jean Valjean
Hugh Jackman as Jean Valjean
I think he made a really good Jean Valjean. He was really sweet with Cosette, and his acting was good. Sometimes his voice got shrimpy, but besides that I thought he was really good.
[Can I just say how much this picture cracks me up? I mean, I bet Marius is off-camera all like "Ahhh! I didn't mean to fall in love with your daughter, don't shoot!"]

Javert
Philip Quast as Javert
His voice is really snarly, and in the confrontation he sounds really disgusted with Jean Valjean. His singing voice is really awesome, and Stars was really good! [That's all? I could rant about this guy for ages!]

The Bishop of Digne
Colm Wilkinson as Bishop Myriel
Aw, he was so awesome! And he made a really good Bishop. I like how they brought him back in the end, too!

Fantine
Ruthie Henshall as Fantine
Ahhh, she sounded really awesome. He character was really good, and she was really pitiful in lots of parts. I really liked how she did Fantine's Death, too.

Cosette
Amanda Seyfried as Cosette [She's the one on the left :D]
Her voice was what Cosette's voice should sound like, her high notes were really pretty! A Heart Full of Love sounded the best, out of all the Cosette songs. She was sweet, and she was actually sad when Jean Valjean left at the end!

Marius
Michael Ball as Marius
Allright. He's the best Marius I could find. His voice is pretty good, and his acting is adorable! I really liked him in A Heart Full of Love, the way he was straightening out his clothes to impress Cosette!

Thenardier
[We could not find a picture of this slimy guy. But she picked the fellow from the Complete Symphonic Recording.]
Well, he's funny in Master of the House, and he's creepy in Dog Eat Dog, like it's supposed to be. And he sounds really... grunge-y.

Madame Thenardier
Jenny Galloway as Madame Thenardier
She's really funny. The Thenardiers are gross, so let's get off them quickly!

Eponine
Samantha Barks as Eponine [Hey, what is that down in the corner? A giant prune?!]
She really looked like Eponine, and her acting was pretty good! I liked her best in A Little Fall of Rain. The acting was really sad. She was actually acting like she was shot, but it wasn't disturbing or hammy.

Gavroche
Daniel Huttlestone as Gavroche
He makes a really good Gavroche, even if I can't understand what he's saying sometimes. [Subtitles would come in handy, to translate his cockney accent.] It was funny how he kept singing Little People while they were beating up Javert.

Enjolras
Harpo Marx Aaron Tveit as Enjolras
He sounded best in The Final Battle. His acting was really good, it gave Enjolras a personality besides "RAAAAAAAAAAAHHHH!!". And his voice sounds like a muffin! :D [I... don't know how to explain it, she thinks that if his singing voice were a food, it would be a muffin. I cannot explain why. -_-"]

Well, I hope you enjoyed my Dream Cast! See you next month!
[And I'll see you... Sometime this week. XD]
